Every 98 seconds, a person in the United States sexually assaults someone else.
They're not just in Hollywood, or politicians in Washington, D.C.
In rural Iowa, 13 people who have been assaulted or whose kids have been assaulted have shared their stories with us. Hover over each image to read them. Some names have been changed.
Viewers should be aware that these interviews address sexual assault, domestic violence, mental illness, suicide and abortion. The material includes graphic descriptions of assault and strong language and could be triggering to some survivors of abuse.
